The RIFF Thematic Summit on Health & Food, Environment, and Data, Computing & Digital Research Infrastructures was a two-day event organised by Masaryk University in Brno on 15–16 June 2026. It focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ukrainian research community and pan-European research infrastructures in three ESFRI domains.
The RIFF Thematic Summit on Health & Food, Environment, and Data, Computing & Digital Research Infrastructures was a two-day event organised by Masaryk University in Brno on 15–16 June 2026. It focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ukrainian research community and pan-European research infrastructures in three ESFRI domains.
The summit brought together researchers, research infrastructure managers, policymakers, institutional representatives, and experts from Ukraine and the EU. Its main aim was to create a space for exchanging experience, building partnerships, discussing shared challenges, and exploring concrete ways to support Ukraine’s integration into the European Research Area and the EU research infrastructure landscape, while strengthening its contribution to the country's sustainable reconstruction.

The RIFF project will financially support up to 4 high-profile candidates to participate in the Executive Master in Management of Research Infrastructures programme, delivered by the University of Milano-Bicocca.
In April 2026, Masaryk University in Brno hosted Ukrainian research and policy leaders for the RIFF Study Visits, offering an intensive 5-day programme focused on the development and management of research infrastructures.
