How should Ukrainian research and universities move forward after the war? Dozens of experts from across Europe and Ukraine gathered in Brno on September 17, 2025, to discuss this question. The event brought together academics, researchers, politicians and representatives of funding institutions, and set out concrete steps for mapping and developing Ukraine’s research infrastructure through lectures and panel discussions.
The first part of the conference provided a broad overview of the state of research and higher education in Ukraine. This was followed by the Voice of Ukraine session, where representatives of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and the research community described the situation from their perspective and outlined their most pressing needs.
