RIFF Partners Join the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine

Masaryk University and SOLARIS are among the first RIFF partners to join the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine. Their engagement provides an additional platform for strengheting European support for Ukrainian researchers and fosters closer coordination and exchange among related initiatives.

The Coalition, launched by the European Commission, UNESCO and Italian and Ukrainian ministries of research was launched in summer 2025. Currently it has 28 members (ministries, research organisations, universities, foundations and other enntities) and serves as a high-level international platform bringing together European institutions, national governments, research infrastructures, funding agencies, and scientific organisations. Its aim is to coordinate international support for Ukraine’s research and innovation ecosystem, prevent fragmentation of assistance, and ensure that investments in science and technology contribute to Ukraine’s long-term recovery, resilience, and integration into the European Research Area.

The coalition is open to new members from around the world who share its goals. We hope more RIFF members will follow!
